CoinDesk reported that Chainlink has launched Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) 2.0. The core feature allows enterprises to add their own security validators or external verification providers in addition to Chainlink's default verification network when transferring assets and messages between blockchains. In CCIP 2.0, while Chainlink's default verification network, composed of 16 independent node operators, continues to verify all transfers, users can strengthen the security layer by adding separate validators. Existing CCIP users have been automatically migrated to the new version. However, the institutions actually using the new external validators have not yet been disclosed.
