According to CNBC, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev stated that the company's strategy is to acquire customers through stock, cryptocurrency, and prediction market trading, and then expand services to include retirement accounts and investment advisory, managing customers' assets long-term. He explained, "Active trading is the engine and foundation of Robinhood's business," adding, "The goal is to have customers, once they come in for trading, utilize more important long-term financial products such as retirement accounts." Robinhood has recently been expanding its business into asset management, banking, and credit cards, and plans to provide financial services centered on high-net-worth individuals, such as trusts, estate planning, and private banking, to the general public in the future.
