Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse stated regarding the outcome of the Senate Clarity Act vote, "It's deeply regrettable. However, the future of cryptocurrency in the U.S. remains optimistic." He added via X, "We made every effort to pass the Clarity Act. This was not just an opportunity for Ripple or a single company. It was for the entire industry, consumers, and for the U.S. to solidify its position as a global cryptocurrency hub and a leader in future finance. Ultimately, however, consumer interests and U.S. competitiveness were pushed aside. A post-mortem analysis of this failure is needed." He continued, "The future of cryptocurrency in the U.S. remains optimistic. The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) will continue to work on establishing regulations to fill legislative gaps, and we will also actively participate in the rule-making process."
