U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated via X that "the developer protection clause within the Cryptocurrency Market Structure Act (CLARITY) is not an issue, and efforts are currently underway to supplement the clause. We will ensure the safety of developers unrelated to illegal funds while also punishing illegal actors." Previously, Acting U.S. Attorney General Todd Blanche also mentioned that developers who do not aid in the criminal activities of a third party will not be prosecuted.
