According to Cointelegraph, a survey conducted by the Australian Securities and Investments Commission (ASIC) found that 23% of Gen Z held cryptocurrencies. Among them, 29% were found to be trading based on social media and influencer content. ASIC pointed out that Gen Z tends to excessively trust low-reliability information and may make risky decisions. The survey was conducted from November 28 to December 10 last year, targeting 1,127 individuals aged 18-20.

DeFi-centric blockchain Katana (KAT) announced via its official X that it is conducting pre-staking for its native token KAT. The pre-staking began on the 10th (local time) and offers an annual yield of 35% for 60 days on 350 million KAT deposited on a first-come, first-served basis over 8 weeks. According to submitted documents, the company's estimated assets are between $50 million and $100 million, and its liabilities are between $100 million and $500 million. Blockfills suffered a $75 million loan loss in the recent market downturn, and as bankruptcy concerns grew, its creditor Dominion Capital requested the court to freeze their 70.6 BTC. The industry views Blockfills' chances of recovery as very low.
