XRP has reached an inflection point in its downtrend, overcoming months of downward pressure and building a short-term support base for price stability.

According to the cryptocurrency media outlet U.Today on April 9 (local time), XRP is currently moving along a gentle upward support line, forming higher lows. However, it is blocked by a downward resistance line created by moving averages, leading to a price compression phenomenon in a narrow range. While buying power is entering at lower price levels, selling power is thoroughly defending the upper resistance line, showing a typical convergence pattern.

Looking at the technical structure, XRP is still trading below all major moving averages. These moving averages are trending downwards, still sending strong bearish signals. Each time the price attempts to rebound, a flood of supply uses it as an opportunity to secure liquidity for market exit, causing attempts to break through upper resistance to repeatedly fail.

Volume indicators are also unconvincing. Trading activity has somewhat stabilized, but no clear increase in volume suggesting aggressive accumulation has been detected. Attempts to break resistance without strong volume inflow are vulnerable to rejection by sellers.

XRP is currently at a critical juncture to determine its price direction. If the bulls reclaim the short-term moving averages and break through the current resistance cluster, there is a possibility for a relief rally to higher resistance levels. The current chart structure hints at upward potential, but a strong driving force to lead the market is still lacking.
