Securitize, a security token platform, has appointed Brett Redfearn, a former director of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), as its president ahead of its initial public offering (IPO). According to CoinDesk, he previously served as Coinbase's head of capital markets, where he promoted the expansion of institutional investment in cryptocurrencies, and worked at JPMorgan before joining the SEC. He will take on the roles of Securitize President and Board Director.
