Near Intents, a cross-chain intent protocol based on NEAR, announced that it has suffered a loss of approximately $3.8 million due to hacking. Near Intents explained, "The incident occurred due to a bug in the interaction process between the Omni deposit/withdrawal infrastructure and the Near Intents smart contract, and the related vulnerability has been patched. The full amount of the loss will be compensated. Services are expected to resume within approximately 1 hour, but deposits and withdrawals for some networks, including BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, and Avalanche, will be suspended for an additional 12 hours. The incident has been reported to investigative authorities, and efforts to track and recover the stolen funds are underway."
