Cryptobriefing reported that the Drift Foundation, a Solana-based DeFi protocol, has initiated the claim and redemption process for its recovery token DFX, targeting victims of a security incident that occurred last April. The estimated damage caused by the hacking at the time was approximately $295.4 million. Victims can claim 1 DFX for every 1 USDT of confirmed loss, based on the oracle price at the time of the incident. DFX is a transferable token issued under Solana's SPL standard and is separate from the existing governance token DRIFT. The claim deadline is January 1, 2028 (local time), after which any unclaimed DFX will be burned.
