Bitget officially confirmed an unauthorized outflow incident of approximately $351.6 million (about 470 billion KRW) from some hot wallets. Bitget temporarily suspended withdrawal services and initiated emergency measures immediately after detecting the damage, but stated that deposits, general trading transactions, and cold wallet assets remain secure. The entire amount of the damage will be fully compensated through its own '$464 million User Protection Fund'. Bitget is pursuing the freezing of related addresses and is investigating the cause of the incident in cooperation with judicial authorities and on-chain security firms, planning to release a final analysis report within 24 hours. Coinness previously reported that signs of hacking were confirmed at Bitget around 5 AM.
