While former U.S. President Donald Trump executed over 1,000 transactions in one month, it was revealed that he sold up to $56.5 million worth of Amazon and Microsoft stocks alone. Notably, large sales of up to $25 million each in both stocks occurred on the same day, drawing market attention.
According to cryptocurrency media outlet Finbold on September 24 (local time), a property transaction report released on the 22nd detailed over 1,000 transactions executed by President Trump during the month of July. Among these, Amazon (AMZN) shares were sold for up to $15,000 on July 8, up to $500,000 on July 17, and up to $25 million on July 20. Conversely, he also purchased a total of up to $30,000 worth of shares in two separate transactions.
Amazon's stock price fell by 0.29% from $249.99 on July 20, when President Trump made his largest sale, to its recent closing price of $249.27 as of September 24. After the sale, the stock price remained virtually unchanged.
Microsoft (MSFT) transaction volume was even larger. President Trump purchased up to $400,000 worth of shares in two separate transactions in July, while selling up to $31 million worth through four transactions. Specifically, these were up to $500,000 each on July 7 and 17, up to $5 million on July 8, and up to $25 million on July 20. However, Microsoft's stock price rose by 24.44% from $402.29 at the time of the largest sale to $500.59 on September 23.
Finbold stated that there is no clear evidence that President Trump traded based on non-public information, while also highlighting his recent large-scale investment activities. According to Forbes' estimates, President Trump's assets increased from $2.3 billion in 2024 to $7 billion as of September 24, 2026. On February 10, President Trump purchased up to $5 million worth of Dell Technologies (DELL) shares, and the stock price, which was $126.01 at the time, recently surged by 336.34% to $549.83. He also made consecutive investments in Michael Saylor's MicroStrategy (MSTR) approximately one month before the cryptocurrency market surge, and Finbold reported that the return on those investments was approximately 80%.
