Fortune reported that market research firm PitchBook estimated the enterprise value of prediction market platform Kalshi at $30.4 billion in a base scenario and up to $42.1 billion in an optimistic scenario. In a pessimistic scenario, it was valued at $22.8 billion. PitchBook projected Kalshi's 2030 revenue to reach $6.4 billion and adjusted profit to be $3.7 billion. However, as Kalshi is a private company, some financial figures are based on estimates. The key variable cited was the regulatory uncertainty in the sports prediction market. This year, the sports-related portion of Kalshi's event fees reached 69.9%, rising to 82.4% when including complex bets. Lawsuits concerning the legality of sports prediction contracts are currently underway in several US states.
