▲ Ethereum (ETH)
Veteran trader Peter Brandt has set Ethereum's (ETH) long-term price target at around $8,600. The possibility of a massive technical rally has been raised as co-founder Vitalik Buterin strengthens the quantum resistance roadmap.
According to CoinGape, a virtual asset media outlet, on September 22 (local time), Brandt shared a daily chart of Ethereum futures, pointing to $8,674 as a major upside target. He diagnosed that if a short-term breakout of the price range is confirmed, an explosive uptrend could continue long-term.
This bullish outlook comes amid expectations for network security and technological upgrades. Buterin recently prioritized the development of full quantum computer resistance for Layer 1 blockchains, privacy protection, and enhanced cybersecurity. The plan is to proactively build a quantum security system differentiated from traditional financial systems to boost platform reliability.
Institutional capital inflow is also contributing to the upward momentum. On September 21 alone, the US Ethereum spot ETF market saw a net inflow of $270 million, breaking the record since October 2025. BlackRock's ETHA alone attracted $110 million, confirming aggressive buying by institutional investors.
With technical analysis and fundamental improvements aligning, market expectations are soaring. The market is keenly watching to see if Ethereum can break its all-time high and challenge the $8,600 mark, supported by massive institutional capital inflow and a long-term quantum resistance roadmap.
