Hackers could use free testnet ETH and one-time builder identities to bid on Sepolia blocks and then refuse to submit actual transaction data, according to the explanation. Even if such an attack occurs, it will not affect funds on the Ethereum mainnet. However, it could disrupt the testing process that validates Glamsterdam's infrastructure and related features. The Sepolia public test is scheduled to begin on October 6. The Hoodie test is tentatively planned for October 27, and the mainnet application date has not yet been confirmed.
