Operator "Analyzing the cause"…Strongly advises app wallet users to transfer assets
An abnormal asset transfer has been detected in the D'CENT (DCENT) app wallet, a virtual asset wallet service, prompting the operator to launch an emergency investigation.
D'CENT announced in a notice on the 16th that it "has detected abnormal asset transfers related to the D'CENT app wallet and is currently conducting an emergency investigation."
D'CENT explained that initial investigation results indicate the issue appears to be limited to the D'CENT app wallet.
It strongly advised users who hold assets in the D'CENT app wallet or use the same 'mnemonic phrase' (recovery phrase) for both the D'CENT app wallet and a hardware wallet to transfer their assets to a secure hardware wallet or another trusted wallet address as soon as possible.
It also urged users not to send assets to wallet addresses provided via DM (direct message) or unofficial channels, and not to click on links from unverified sources or follow transfer instructions.
A D'CENT official explained, "Currently, the abnormal asset transfer appears to be primarily in the app wallet, not the hardware wallet, and we are still in the process of analyzing the cause."
D'CENT stated that it would announce further details through its official accounts as soon as the cause, scope of impact, and necessary countermeasures are identified.
D'CENT is a virtual asset wallet brand operated by IOTRUST, providing both hardware wallets and mobile app-based non-custodial wallets.
