The Block reported that global remittance and payment company MoneyGram has launched its first stablecoin Visa card in partnership with stablecoin payment infrastructure company Rain. The first launch country is Colombia. Initially, it will support Circle USDC. MoneyGram's recently issued dollar stablecoin 'MGUSD' is also expected to be added soon. Customers can manage their stablecoin account balances within the MoneyGram app and use online/offline payments and tap-to-pay at Visa merchants. They can also self-remit card balances to themselves and directly receive/withdraw local currency at MoneyGram locations worldwide.
