As the military conflict between the United States and Iran intensifies again, Bitcoin's (BTC) upward momentum is weakening.
According to FXStreet on September 2 (local time), the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) carried out additional strikes on targets of Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). As the U.S. and Iran exchanged new military attacks the previous day, risk aversion sentiment strengthened again. With geopolitical tensions escalating, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude oil rose to $91.
Bitcoin is maintaining its upward trend, but short-term momentum has weakened. The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) has fallen from the overbought zone to approximately 63, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) has slipped below its signal line. The key support level is the Fibonacci 50% retracement line at $75,233. Subsequent support levels are the 200-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $72,397, the 50-day line at $70,277, and the 100-day line at $69,221, in that order. On the upside, the Fibonacci 78.6% retracement lines at $87,476 and $97,924 have been presented as resistance levels.
In contrast, Filecoin (FIL) regained strength with a 14% surge the previous day. It surpassed the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $0.73 and tested a breakout above the 100-day line at $0.77. If it breaks above the $0.82 trendline connecting the highs of May 8 and August 22, the Fibonacci 50% retracement line at $0.89 and the 200-day line at $0.93 are set as the next targets. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) rebounded to 59, and the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) also crossed above its signal line.
Uniswap (UNI) also showed relative strength, rising for five consecutive trading days. The Relative Strength Index (RSI) entered the overbought zone at approximately 78, but the Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) and its signal line continued their upward trend. If it definitively breaks above the Fibonacci 61.8% retracement line at $5.82, then $7.48 and the previous high of $10.30 are set as the next resistance levels. Lower support levels are $4.88 and around the 50-day Exponential Moving Average (EMA) at $4.09.
