Song Eon-seok of the People Power Party on March 19, seeking to remove the income tax provisions on virtual assets. The submitted bill for the abolition of virtual asset taxation will be referred to the Finance and Economy Committee's Tax Subcommittee for discussion. A petition regarding the abolition of virtual asset taxation, agreed upon by over 50,000 people, will also be discussed in the Finance and Economy Committee's Petition Review Subcommittee. A National Assembly official stated, "The formation of the Finance and Economy Committee's Tax Subcommittee and Petition Review Subcommittee has not yet been completed," adding, "the discussion schedule will be determined once all committee members are appointed and an agreement is reached between the ruling and opposition party whips."
