Pro-cryptocurrency U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis stated via X, "I have been working with Democrats for over nine months to process the CLARITY Act. The CLARITY Act creates a regulatory framework that does not yet exist in the cryptocurrency space. The CLARITY Act will bring the cryptocurrency industry in the U.S. into a regulatory framework, benefiting American consumers." The CLARITY Act is scheduled for deliberation and voting (markup) by the Senate Banking Committee approximately 30 minutes later, at 11:30 PM KST on the 14th. The committee consists of 13 Republican seats and 11 Democratic seats, and 13 votes are needed to pass the Senate stage. As of now, it is expected that the Republicans will likely proceed alone.
