Robert Kiyosaki has once again warned of a retirement crisis for the Baby Boomer generation in 2026. He claimed that millions of Baby Boomers could lose their jobs and face financial difficulties this year, with some potentially becoming homeless.
Bitcoin.com reported on May 10 (local time) that Kiyosaki described the Baby Boomer retirement crisis as the "Baby Boomer Retirement Disaster" via X (formerly Twitter) on May 5. Kiyosaki, author of 'Rich Dad Poor Dad', stated that many elderly workers could face severe financial pressure in 2026 as they leave the workforce.
Kiyosaki said he has anticipated the Baby Boomer retirement disaster since 1974. He mentioned his books 'Retire Young, Retire Rich' and 'Who Took My Pension' which he wrote for Baby Boomers and their families, claiming that Wall Street hated these books, but some readers strengthened their financial positions or prepared for the period he warned about.
He warned that millions of Baby Boomers will be unemployed and financially struggling in 2026, and a significant number could become homeless. Kiyosaki emphasized financial education as a key means to respond to the retirement crisis. He spoke to the effect that the human brain is the most important asset, asserting that personal financial knowledge must be the starting point to prepare for the crisis.
This warning aligns with Kiyosaki's repeated concerns about debt, inflation, and the weakening retirement system. He has previously warned that a 'bubble of everything' could trigger a severe market collapse and push the global economy into recession or depression.
Along with his retirement crisis warning, Kiyosaki presented gold, silver, Bitcoin (BTC), and Ethereum (ETH) as long-term defensive assets. He stated that for years, he has recommended physical gold, silver, Bitcoin, and Ethereum as the foundation for a financial future.
He emphasized that the global economy is facing a difficult phase and that people must prepare and protect themselves. Bitcoin.com reported that Kiyosaki had previously made aggressive predictions that Bitcoin's price could reach $250,000 in 2026 and $1 million in 2035 amidst future financial turmoil.
