Cointelegraph reported that Keonne Rodriguez, co-founder of the Bitcoin mixing service Samourai Wallet, who is currently on trial after being indicted on charges of operating an illegal money transmitting business, has appealed for donations to cover legal fees and fines. He stated on X, "I am completely financially bankrupt due to $2 million in legal fees and $250,000 in fines. I desperately need help." He and another Samourai Wallet co-founder, William Lonergan Hill, were each sentenced to 5 and 4 years in prison, respectively, after their indictment last November.
