As Ripple officially announced its payment network connecting 13,000 banks and facilitating $12.5 trillion in transactions, analyses have emerged suggesting XRP's fair value could reach $625 based on this.
According to crypto media outlet Bitcoinist on May 3 (local time), Ripple announced that it is connected to 13,000 banks through its treasury platform, 'Ripple Treasury,' supporting a total payment flow of $12.5 trillion. The platform's key feature was introduced as providing 100% cash visibility to institutions.
In 2025, Ripple acquired GTreasury, an existing corporate treasury platform, for $1 billion and reorganized it into Ripple Treasury. The explanation is that by absorbing existing financial infrastructure rather than building a new system, Ripple quickly expanded its banking network.
Analyst Patrick L. Riley evaluated these figures as demonstrating Ripple's penetration into the global financial system. He analyzed that while there are approximately 4,336 banks and 4,287 credit unions in the United States, the 13,000 institutions connected by Ripple signify an expanded network extending beyond the US to the entire Anglo-sphere.
Riley particularly focused on the $12.5 trillion payment volume and presented a valuation model assuming the possibility of this flow moving through XRP. According to calculations using the so-called 'Bakkes Pipeline' method, under the premise that 20 billion XRP handles an annual $12.5 trillion, the average value per XRP could reach $625.
However, the figures released by Ripple only explain the size of its treasury network and total payment volume; they do not mean that the entire $12.5 trillion is actually being settled with XRP. Nevertheless, such announcements are stimulating expectations surrounding XRP's mid-to-long-term price outlook, and XRP is currently trading at around $1.39.
