Ripple's co-creator directly unveiled early XRP user cases and artificial intelligence (AI)-based experiments, proposing the direction for the utilization of the XRP Ledger.
According to a report by Bitcoinist on May 2 (local time), David Schwartz, honorary CTO of Ripple, introduced early instances where XRP was first mentioned via X (formerly Twitter). He referred to an email from February 2013 where a user requested XRP, explaining the flow of actual usage within the community at the time.
Schwartz stated that he did not directly transfer XRP in response to that request, but another participant provided support instead. This case was presented as an example showing the early days of the XRP Ledger being utilized as a means of value exchange between users, not just a simple technology.
Recently, new utilization experiments combined with artificial intelligence were also unveiled. Schwartz proposed to pay XRP to users who shared AI prompts on X, and actually sent XRP to users who met the conditions.
This experiment was conducted by utilizing a blockchain-based reward structure to pay for content contributions. Schwartz explained that through this, he aimed to encourage user participation and test ways to expand the potential uses of the XRP Ledger.
He emphasized that the XRP Ledger should evolve into a platform that accommodates various use cases beyond just a payment network.
