Yonhap News reported that prosecutors sought a 20-year prison sentence for Mr. Jeong, the CEO of Delio, a virtual asset (crypto) deposit and interest service operator, who was brought to trial on charges of embezzling customer's virtual assets. The prosecution stated, "The defendant's active deceptive acts and false promotions resulted in numerous victims, and the scale of damage is enormous." They added, "Despite victims attending every hearing and urging severe punishment for the defendant, the defendant continues to evade responsibility and maintain an uncooperative attitude, thereby increasing their suffering."
