A developer claims to be able to recover 8,999 BTC lost in 2010 using a new CUDA tool. According to BeInCrypto, a user known as Stone Man lost Bitcoin due to a Bitcoin client bug in 2010. Reddit user 'CompetitiveRough8180' claims to have developed a CUDA-based tool that exploits the weak entropy (randomness) of early Bitcoin clients to recover the lost Bitcoin. Based on current market prices, 8,999 BTC is worth over $700 million.
