U.S. President Donald Trump on the 29th (local time) pressed Iran to engage in peace talks, stating, "Iran is not getting its act together. It would be good to grasp the situation quickly."
President Trump made these remarks in a short post on his social media (SNS) Truth Social around 4 AM Eastern Time on this day, strongly pressuring Iran by adding, "They (Iran) don't even know how to conclude a denuclearization agreement."
Below the post, President Trump also uploaded a photo of himself titled 'No More Mr. Nice Guy'. In the photo, President Trump is wearing sunglasses and carrying a firearm against a backdrop of bombings.
AFP news agency reported that President Trump posted this message amid a stalemate in peace talks between the United States and Iran.
Although more than two months have passed since the outbreak of the Middle East war, the United States has not found common ground with Iran on issues such as the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz and Iran's denuclearization, thus failing to conclude peace talks.
The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reported the previous day that President Trump had instructed his aides to prepare for a long-term naval blockade of Iran to secure Iran's abandonment of nuclear weapons.
