U.S. Republican Senator Thom Tillis has withdrawn his opposition to Kevin Warsh's confirmation as Federal Reserve (Fed) Chair, Cointelegraph reported. Senator Tillis stated via X, "I have confirmed that the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has concluded its approximately three-month investigation into Chairman Jerome Powell. Accordingly, I plan to support Kevin Warsh's confirmation. This investigation was a matter that could undermine the independence of the Fed, and support was only possible once the issue was resolved."
