Brazil's Ministry of Finance has implemented a complete ban on prediction market platforms, citing investor protection and concerns about gambling addiction, Decrypt reported. According to the media outlet, authorities have blocked access to major platforms such as Polymarket and Kalshi, deeming these services unregulated and illegal within Brazil. Finance Minister Dario Durigan stated, “Stricter regulation and enforcement are needed to reduce the social costs and side effects caused by unregulated gambling.”
