On-chain analyst Willy Woo estimated that it could take at least 10 years for Bitcoin to be recognized as a safe-haven asset. He explained via X, "BTC allows assets to be held as they are and cross borders with just a seed phrase. It also operates independently of the existing financial system, structured in a way that its value becomes more prominent during a financial crisis. However, to date, Bitcoin still moves like a risky asset when macroscopic uncertainty increases or during wartime, and is greatly affected by market volatility. This is because institutions and large-scale capital do not view Bitcoin as a sufficiently verified asset. Therefore, Bitcoin shows a similar trend to Nasdaq. The market believes that at least 10 years are needed for Bitcoin to be recognized as a safe-haven asset. If this period comes, it will grow to a level that competes with gold's market capitalization."
