XRP (Ripple) has fallen into a swamp of endless bearishness, with even AI models warning of further declines over the next two months. The emergence of a dead cross, a critical bearish signal, has heightened fears of a collapse below $1.
According to crypto media outlet Finbold on April 9 (local time), Finbold's AI agent utilized large language models such as Claude Opus 4.6, Deepseek, Gemini 3 Flash, GPT 5.2, and Grok 4.1 to predict price movements over the next 60 days, forecasting an average decline of 3.98%. These models predicted XRP's price to fall to $1.28 by June 8, 2026.
Despite analyzing based on the same technical indicators, individual AI model forecasts varied significantly. Claude Opus 4.6 presented the most optimistic outlook, predicting an 18.8% rise over two months, while Grok 4.1 offered extreme pessimism, forecasting a deep decline of 15.79%.
Currently, XRP remains below $1.80, a strong multi-year support level, showing a significant downward trend over the past two months. With XRP liquidity on Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, shrinking to a nine-month low, there's a possibility of further sell-offs occurring within the next two months.
From a technical analysis perspective, XRP is precariously testing the crucial support level of $1.33, its all-time high during the 2021 bull run. What's even more painful is the emergence of a weekly dead cross on the weekly chart, where the 100-day simple moving average crosses below the 20-day simple moving average, triggering a strong sell signal.
Historically, XRP has experienced brutal price crashes of at least 27% immediately after a weekly dead cross appeared between these two moving averages. If the terrible nightmare of the dead cross in May 2022 repeats, there's a strong warning that it could plummet helplessly to $0.94 in the short term.
