Stani Kulechov, founder of the DeFi lending protocol Aave, expressed disappointment over the European Central Bank (ECB) and European Banking Authority (EBA)'s discussions on MiCA-related regulations. He explained, "The proposal to require suitability assessments for DeFi users and regulations applying certification systems to DeFi lending protocols are concerning. This could form a closed financial ecosystem and reduce accessibility to open financial networks."
