Sui (SUI) announced its participation in the development of the Open Tokenized Asset Standard (OTAS) under the Linux Foundation Decentralized Trust (LFDT), in collaboration with OpenAssets, a real-world asset tokenization infrastructure company, and its expansion into the Sui ecosystem. OTAS is an open-source standard that standardizes the way tokenized asset identities, compliance rules, and audit histories are represented, enabling assets to be expressed, verified, and settled across different financial systems. Its goal is to facilitate the movement and trading of tokenized assets such as securities, funds, and commodities between institutions and networks without enforcing a specific blockchain or technological framework. The Sui Foundation was one of OTAS's early sponsors, participating from the standard design phase.
