According to Cointelegraph, Blockstream co-founder Adam Back announced his support for the introduction of Bitcoin covenant opcodes. He explained that covenant opcodes could reduce the need for soft forks in the Bitcoin network in the future and enhance the security of Bitcoin scripts.
