The cryptocurrency industry spent over $13 million on lobbying activities in the first half of this year, with $8 million of that amount used to pass the Clarity Act. According to CoinDesk, Coinbase spent approximately $2.2 million and Kraken spent approximately $1 million on lobbying efforts for the Clarity Act. In addition, Digital Currency Group (DCG), Jump Crypto, and Paradigm also invested funds. Meanwhile, the crypto industry's lobbying funds were also used for issues such as tax law legislation and digital mining issues, in addition to passing the Clarity Act.
