The U.S. state of Illinois has unveiled a draft of the Digital Asset Privilege Tax Act, which imposes a 0.2% tax on cryptocurrency transactions. The state announced that it will collect public feedback on this matter until October 30 (local time). Previously, the cryptocurrency industry filed a lawsuit against Illinois last month, seeking to prevent the implementation of the 0.2% cryptocurrency transaction tax.
