Herald Economy reported that more than 9 out of 10 domestic digital asset investors have a high reliance on exchange custody, storing their assets on domestic exchanges. According to the 'Virtual Asset Usage Survey' conducted by the Korea Financial Consumers Protection Foundation targeting 2,500 adults aged 19-69 residing in Seoul, Gyeonggi, and six major metropolitan cities, the frequency of exchange use among middle-aged and older adults was prominent. The response that they check exchanges two or more times a day was highest among those in their 60s at 24.8%. Those in their 50s also exceeded 20% at 22.1%. This is nearly twice as high compared to those in their 20s (12%) and 30s (13.6%). The reliance of domestic investors on exchanges was even more pronounced in asset storage. Currently, 94.8% of investors reported storing their assets on domestic exchanges.
