Verena Ross, Chair of the European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA), announced at the European Parliament's Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs that the focus of the crypto-asset regulation law, MiCA, has shifted from rule-making to supervision and ensuring regulatory consistency. According to Cointelegraph, ESMA plans to intensively supervise crypto-asset service providers in 2027, focusing on operational resilience, outsourcing risks, and liquidity. Additionally, it plans to unify national reporting standards and launch the first phase of the abnormal transaction monitoring system for the crypto-asset market.
