LG Electronics [066570] showed strength on the 28th after being selected as an official partner of NVIDIA.

On this day, LG Electronics closed at 214,500 won, up 2.63% from the previous trading day.

During intraday trading, it even rose to 220,000 won, a 5.26% increase at one point. Subsequently, as profit-taking selling emerged, the extent of the rise partially decreased.

Group affiliates, including LG (1.88%), LG Innotek [011070] (8.04%), and LG CNS [064400] (1.15%), also rose.

The previous day, LG Electronics announced that it was selected as a partner in the 'Power and Cooling' sector, which is an artificial intelligence (AI) data center cooling solution field, within 'NVIDIA Partner Network' (NPN), NVIDIA's official partner program.

NPN is a global partner program where companies from various fields such as hardware, software, services, and infrastructure participate, based on NVIDIA's AI computing platform and technology ecosystem.

The market views that this partner registration has increased LG Electronics' opportunity to propose high-efficiency cooling solutions to global customers building NVIDIA technology-based AI data centers. In particular, it is observed that the possibility of LG Electronics' chillers and coolant distribution units (CDUs) being considered from the early stages, such as planning and design of next-generation AI data centers, has also increased.
