According to Bitcoin Treasuries, Michael Saylor, chairman of MicroStrategy, stated at a panel discussion at the Bitcoin Policy Institute (BPI) that "large US banks could create approximately $100 billion in credit using Bitcoin over the next 12 months." He added, "This amount is sufficient to purchase the entire supply of BTC that will be made available over the next 10 years. If this scenario materializes, the price of BTC could triple from its current level, and the related industry could grow to a $10 trillion market. Banking sector participation will play a key role in the full-scale expansion of Bitcoin's market, and US banks will decide to expand related businesses after confirming the Treasury Department's policy stance."
