Hut8 (HUT) has been selected as the successful bidder for two Texas data centers owned by the Bitcoin mining pool Poolin. According to The Block, Hut8 bid $140 million, which is approximately three times the total minimum bid of $52 million set for the two facilities. Poolin announced in late July that it had filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection (corporate rehabilitation) and was pursuing the sale of its Bitcoin mining facilities in Texas. Poolin's debt amounts to approximately $173 million, of which $164 million is due to unsecured IOU liabilities issued to wallet users.
