Binance announced that it would continue to pursue authorization under the European Union (EU) cryptocurrency regulation MiCA, CoinTelegraph reported. Earlier, the Wall Street Journal reported that European Central Bank (ECB) President Christine Lagarde requested the Greek Prime Minister not to approve Binance's MiCA authorization application. Binance stated regarding the report, "We will not respond to speculative reports. We are pursuing MiCA authorization to conduct business in Europe in compliance with regulations in the long term." Binance had previously announced in June that it would withdraw its application for authorization in Greece and pursue authorization in other EU member states.
