Strategy (MSTR) has once again halted additional purchases of Bitcoin (BTC). Strive (ASST) newly acquired 469 BTC.
According to crypto media outlet Cryptopotato on September 14 (local time), Strategy's Bitcoin holdings remained at 845,050 BTC. The average purchase price is $75,412. The company has invested just over $63.7 billion in Bitcoin purchases over the past six years. Michael Saylor also stated on X (formerly Twitter) that there was no change in holdings on this day.
Strategy has purchased Bitcoin only once in the past three months or so. This purchase was announced on September 1. At that time, the company invested $370 million to acquire 4,603 BTC. Since then, it has refocused on STRC repurchases instead of additional Bitcoin purchases. It recently invested $139 million in STRC repurchases. Dollar reserves slightly decreased to $6.4 billion.
Strive, on the other hand, took the opposite approach. Strive CEO Matt Cole announced that the company invested $36.6 million to acquire an additional 469 BTC. The average purchase price was $77,954 per Bitcoin. With this purchase, Strive's Bitcoin holdings increased to 25,000 BTC.
Cole explained that all funds invested in Bitcoin purchases were raised through SATA. SATA's nominal outstanding balance has exceeded $1 billion. He stated, "100% of the funds raised came from SATA." Strive's amplification ratio increased to 53.5%.
While Strategy, the world's largest corporate Bitcoin holder, slowed its pace of purchases, Strive continued to expand its holdings. This purchase once again highlighted a clear difference in the Bitcoin accumulation strategies of the two companies.
