Zcash has seen a double-digit surge, significantly outperforming the overall market's gains, driven by strong technical support defense and the expansion of the privacy coin ecosystem.
According to cryptocurrency market aggregator CoinMarketCap on September 15 (local time), Zcash (ZEC) is trading at $1,185.06, a 10.26% increase from 24 hours ago. This performance significantly surpasses Bitcoin's (BTC) 2.57% rise over the same period, clearly showing a decoupling from the general market beta rally and demonstrating individual independent momentum (Alpha Generation).
The key background for this rebound is a solid technical breakout and sustained momentum accompanied by trading volume. Zcash has stably settled above the key Fibonacci 23.6% retracement support level of $1,101.53 and the 7-day Simple Moving Average (SMA) of $1,141.29. The daily Relative Strength Index (RSI) recorded 58.53, maintaining healthy upward momentum without overbought concerns, and trading volume also increased by 9.08% to $1.55 billion (1.55B dollars), confirming a large influx of buying interest.
Fundamental factors such as strengthening its position in the European market and network activation have also provided a continuous tailwind. According to major media outlets such as U.Today, Zcash was recently listed on the SwissBorg exchange for European users, and its on-chain activities, including Inscriptions and memecoins, have become active, reigniting the privacy coin narrative. As a result, it has outperformed Bitcoin, with fundamental-based capital inflows continuing.
The short-term market outlook will depend on the results of the NU7 network upgrade vote, which concluded on September 14, and whether it can break through the $1,206 resistance level. If the voting results are absorbed as a positive market factor and the support range of $1,100 to $1,123 is successfully defended, there is a high probability of testing the $1,206 breakout and continuing the upward trend. Conversely, if it fails to defend the support level and falls below $1,101, the bullish structure could collapse, with a risk of a retracement correction down to the 38.2% Fibonacci level of $983.59.
