Bitcoin (BTC) spot ETFs experienced a net outflow of $462.73 million over the past week. In contrast, funds flowed into Ethereum (ETH), XRP, and Solana (SOL) spot ETFs.
According to Bitcoin.com on September 14 (local time), US Bitcoin spot ETFs recorded net outflows on all trading days last week. Starting with $46.65 million on Tuesday, $120.24 million exited on Wednesday. On Thursday, $282.56 million left, and on Friday, $13.29 million departed. The weekly net outflow totaled $462.73 million, ending a three-week streak of net inflows.
Discrepancies among products were also significant. Ark and 21Shares' ARKB saw an outflow of $234.20 million. Grayscale's GBTC recorded a net outflow of $129.10 million. BlackRock's IBIT experienced an exit of $52.50 million. Fidelity's FBTC also saw $50.70 million leave. In contrast, Morgan Stanley's MSBT attracted $19.70 million.
Ethereum spot ETFs showed the opposite trend. Weekly net inflows reached $197.11 million, continuing a four-week streak of net inflows. On Friday alone, $216.41 million flowed in. Bitcoin spot ETF trading volume decreased by approximately 28% from the previous week to $8.76 billion. Ethereum spot ETF trading volume increased by approximately 54% to $5.14 billion.
XRP spot ETFs and Solana spot ETFs also maintained net inflows. The XRP spot ETF saw $18.98 million flow in over the week, with $1.55 million on Tuesday, $12.29 million on Wednesday, and $5.14 million on Thursday. Solana spot ETF's weekly net inflow was $10.30 million. The combined net inflow for Ethereum, XRP, and Solana spot ETFs was approximately $226 million.
The overall fund flow for the five major cryptocurrency ETFs shifted from a net inflow of approximately $1.24 billion in the previous week to a net outflow of $263 million. Funds exiting Bitcoin spot ETFs significantly outweighed the net inflows into other cryptocurrency ETFs. Bitcoin.com cited the Federal Reserve's (Fed) interest rate decision on September 16 and the US Senate's procedural vote on the US cryptocurrency market structure bill as the next variables.
