Ahead of the next core improvement work, the Dogecoin (Dogecoin, DOGE) development team has directly requested testing support from Japanese users and developers using the latest macOS.
According to U.Today, a cryptocurrency specialized media outlet, on September 13 (local time), Dogecoin developer 'Junior Developer' announced two requests for test participation to the community. The targets are document review and software testing. Dogecoin Core is the most widely used standard software for operating Dogecoin nodes.
The first request targets native Japanese speakers. This involves reviewing proposed changes to Dogecoin Core documentation to ensure the translation is accurate and natural. Development experience is not required. Japanese is one of the languages not yet added, and participants can assist in creating translation files and linking them to the documentation list.
The second request targets developers using the latest macOS. The development team requested testing of a minor header guard improvement proposal for Dogecoin Core in a real-world environment. The purpose is to involve external developers with operating system experience in the testing process, rather than having only core developers verify the changes.
This request demonstrates Dogecoin's open-source development approach. The development team is asking community members with language and operating system experience to pre-verify changes. The focus is on finding documentation errors or software issues before official implementation.
The Dogecoin development team has also continued to work on network security improvements. In April, the Dogecoin Foundation team successfully conducted experimental quantum-resistant secure transactions on the mainnet. Prior to that, in January 2025, RE-EN, a next-generation quantum-resistant cryptographic system for Dogecoin's security infrastructure, was proposed.
