Bitcoin (BTC) accounted for more than 42% of cryptocurrencies purchased by repeat users on the European cryptocurrency trading platform Paybis, a figure higher than the combined share of Ethereum (ETH) and stablecoins. According to data obtained by crypto media outlet Finbold from Paybis, an analysis of Paybis' individual investor transaction data from August 2023 to August 2026 revealed that BTC accounted for 42.21% of first transactions and 42.67% of second transactions. ETH accounted for 10.39% and 10.82% respectively, while stablecoins decreased from 15.29% to 11.83%. In the second transaction, the combined share of ETH and stablecoins was 22.65%, which was only half the share of BTC. Paybis analyzed 795,141 users who revisited after their first purchase, and among them, approximately 70%, or 557,727 users, made a total of 2 to 5 transactions. Unlike major cryptocurrency exchanges such as Binance and Coinbase, Paybis is a crypto on/off-ramp-centric platform that allows users to buy and sell cryptocurrencies using fiat currency.
