A very bullish forecast has emerged, suggesting that Bitcoin (Bitcoin, BTC) could rise to $400,000 by 2030.
According to Benzinga on September 10 (local time), Coinbase Global (Coinbase Global, COIN) CEO Brian Armstrong diagnosed that Bitcoin's recent downtrend cycle has already bottomed out. He stated, “I believe Bitcoin has already formed a bottom in the recent cycle.”
Armstrong cited an improved regulatory environment and the next Bitcoin halving as future growth drivers. He called the $400,000 Bitcoin price by 2030 a “reasonable target.” He also suggested that excessive government spending could cause funds to move into Bitcoin. He described Bitcoin as a digital version of gold.
He also emphasized regulatory changes. Armstrong explained that the U.S. cryptocurrency market structure bill is receiving bipartisan negotiation and support from law enforcement agencies, banks, and crypto companies. He predicted that even if the bill does not pass Congress, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) could use their existing authority to establish rules and innovation exemptions.
Armstrong highlighted that more than 150 large companies adopted stablecoins within three months after the GENIUS stablecoin regulation bill passed. He believes that market structure regulations will lower barriers that have prevented institutional capital inflows and help tokenized stocks and perpetual futures enter the U.S. market.
Needham analyst John Todaro also presented the view that the cryptocurrency market has bottomed out. He explained that Bitcoin miners' selling volume in the first half of 2026 was higher than in any previous period, and investor sentiment had fallen to its weakest level since 2022 and 2023. Todaro predicted that market activity is starting to revive, and Coinbase and Robinhood Markets (Robinhood Markets, HOOD) could benefit.
