El Salvador President Nayib Bukele denied reports by Spanish media outlet El País that the ownership and management rights of the country's Bitcoin (BTC) strategic reserves had been transferred to private operators. President Bukele asserted that the report was “completely false, and the transfer mentioned in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) data cited by El País as a basis was not El Salvador's government's BTC strategic reserves, but rather stakes related to the Chivo wallet.”
