The Polish parliament attempted to override the presidential veto on the cryptocurrency regulation bill but ultimately failed, local state news agency PAP reported. Previously, Polish President Karol Nawrocki vetoed the cryptocurrency regulation proposal passed by parliament, stating that it excessively regulates the industry. On the 4th (local time), the Polish lower house, the Sejm, attempted a re-vote to override the veto, but it failed to secure the approval of more than 3/5 of the members present. Meanwhile, this marks the third time the Polish President has vetoed a cryptocurrency regulation bill, with the current bill including provisions to designate the Polish Financial Supervision Authority (KNF) as the regulatory body.
