Cointelegraph reported that the United States and the United Kingdom have established a joint investigation system targeting cryptocurrency and cyber investment fraud organizations. The U.S. Attorney's Office for the District of Columbia, the UK Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), and the National Crime Agency (NCA) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to conduct parallel investigations and share information on criminal organizations targeting common entities. The two countries are also planning to conduct operations to disrupt fraud organizations with private companies in London in early October. Reported cryptocurrency investment fraud losses in the U.S. increased by 89% from $4.57 billion in 2023 to $8.65 billion in 2025.
